About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric team at The Portland Hospital, a leading provider of women and children's healthcare in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to nursing teams in the care of infants, children, and young people with skin conditions and tissue viability needs.
  • Lead and participate in coordinating patient care, ensuring the best interests of the child and family are always prioritized.
  • Advocate for every child and young person attending the hospital for dermatology treatment and tissue viability services.
  • Develop and implement patient clinical pathways for skin conditions and tissue viability patients, in collaboration with the multi-professional team.
  • Take responsibility for assessing, planning, and setting standards for patient care, working closely with specialist consultants and the nursing team.
  • Contribute to the training, education, and development of the nursing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Ensure hospital policies for the Dermatology/Tissue Viability service are up-to-date and reviewed regularly.

Requirements

  • Children's Nursing Qualification (RN Child or RSCN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Substantial post-registration experience in Children's nursing.
  • Relevant qualification and experience in Tissue Viability.
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support.
  • Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
