About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Perioperative Medicine to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our perioperative service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Intensive Care and Perioperative Consultant to optimize perioperative care for acute surgical patients
  • Partner with our Acute Medical and Anaesthetic Consultant to develop and implement effective care pathways
  • Lead the development of our perioperative service, working in partnership with our Geriatric Medicine department
  • Contribute to the management of our Acute Surgery department and participate in multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
  • Leadership experience in a perioperative setting
  • Strong clinical skills in geriatric and anaesthetic medicine
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
