Job Title: Team Leader - Residential Childcare

Location: Hesketh Bank, Preston

Salary: £31,288 - £33,358 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time, 39 hours per week

The Role:

Our Home provides a supportive environment to help young people with complex needs. As a Team Leader, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee daily operations, collaborating with children and young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line Management: Provide direct supervision to a small team of Childcare Workers, ensuring high standards of care and professional development.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management, and educational settings.
  • Legislation & Compliance: Stay informed on children's homes legislation, regulations, and the Ofsted inspection framework to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of current childcare legislation, particularly relating to children in care.
  • Working knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children's Homes and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
