WHAT WE SEEK:

Jam Press is in search of a candidate with a minimum of two years' experience in a picture or production desk role within a local or national newsroom.

This position entails supporting the production editor and efficiently packaging newsworthy content.

We cover global stories with a particular emphasis on the UK and US, employing various methods to source our articles. Social media is integral to our operations, so proficiency in major platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) is essential.

The ideal applicant will be self-driven, adept at multitasking and managing their workload, and capable of prioritizing incoming content with editorial guidance. A foundational understanding of media law is preferred, but exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills are crucial.

Attention to detail, a keen eye for compelling visuals, and an understanding of press requirements and how to engage different outlets—including national and digital publications, broadcast, magazines, and print—are vital.
