WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Jam Press is in search of a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience working on a picture or production desk within a local or national newsroom.

This role entails supporting the production editor and efficiently packaging newsworthy content.

We cover stories from around the globe, with a particular emphasis on the UK and US, employing various methods to source our articles. Social media plays a crucial role in our operations, so proficiency in the major platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) is essential.

The ideal applicant will be self-driven, adept at multitasking and managing their workload, and capable of prioritizing incoming content throughout the day under the guidance of Editors. A foundational understanding of media law is preferred, but exceptional phone etiquette and strong communication skills are imperative.

You will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, an eye for effective visuals for stories, and an understanding of press requirements and how to engage different outlets, including national and digital publications, broadcast media, magazines, and print.
