WHAT WE SEEK:

Jam Press is in search of a candidate with a minimum of two years' experience in a picture or production desk role within a local or national newsroom.

This position involves supporting the production editor and ensuring the timely packaging of newsworthy content.

We cover stories from around the globe, with a particular emphasis on the UK and US, employing various methods to source our articles. Social media is a crucial component of our operations, so proficiency in the major platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) is essential.

The ideal applicant will be self-driven, adept at multitasking and managing their workload, and capable of prioritizing incoming content throughout the day under the guidance of Editors. A foundational understanding of media law is preferred, but exceptional phone etiquette and strong communication skills are imperative.

You should possess keen attention to detail, an eye for compelling visuals that enhance a story, and an understanding of how to appeal to various media outlets, including national and digital publications, broadcast, magazines, and print.
