Blakemore Recruitment is excited to support our Wealth and Asset Management client in their search for a Financial Planning Support Specialist to enhance their expanding private office client support team.

The primary focus of this position is to ensure the effective delivery of services to regulated advisers and their intricate client portfolios. The role offers flexible working arrangements, with a combination of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities


• Proactively assist Client Directors in organizing and preparing for formal reviews and spontaneous client meetings, including pre- and post-meeting discussions. Participate in select client meetings alongside Client Directors and document minutes as required.


• Track the progress and execution of agreed actions from client meetings and other communications.


• Maintain comprehensive client records, including suitability, AML, and KYC data, while coordinating with Operations for data updates.


• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the initial point of contact for general inquiries. Implement necessary actions or, when appropriate, relay instructions to the Client Director or relevant colleague.


• Conduct weekly meetings with Client Directors to support sales initiatives, manage pipelines, and oversee new and ongoing business, meeting actions, and AML compliance.


• Assist in drafting and proofreading proposal documents, route maps, and advice reports for Client Director review, utilizing FE Analytics for replacement business advice. Prepare sign-up documentation.


• Generate tailored quarterly reports for select clients, encompassing both external and internal assets, and present these reports to clients when necessary. Collaborate with other industry professionals to gather information regarding external assets.


• Aid in the administration of establishing structures such as FICs, FLPs, and external OEICs for clients, as well as ongoing management. This includes liaising with solicitors, ACDs, and external trustees, providing accountants with necessary information for annual accounts, and coordinating tax payments and third-party invoices.


• Complete static elements of Private Equity and compliance documentation, including Investment Subscription documents and accompanying AML, FATCA, and CIS paperwork.


• Update and maintain family balance sheets and gift schedules.


• Apply for and renew annual LEI numbers and GIINs for applicable entities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Strong numerical aptitude Ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines Comprehensive understanding of investment and financial planning principles Proven experience in the wealth management or financial planning sector Confidence in liaising with colleagues and external parties at all levels Familiarity with voyant/cashflow skills is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-assurance and self-motivation Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Attention to detail and precision Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
