Job Title: Production Supervisor

At Adam Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our client's rapidly expanding manufacturing business. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-skilled team and driving operational performance across key areas of safety, service, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain team competencies through effective training and development programs.
  • Foster a positive culture of accountability and engagement to promote best practices in safety, service, and cost management.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to maximize production efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage colleague activity effectively during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of performance data relating to safety, service, and cost.
  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and machinery by the team.
  • Drive team development and training initiatives to maintain the continuity and resilience of manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the production manager and other supervisors to share best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery of production schedules as outlined by the operational leadership team.
  • Promote safe and effective behaviors within the team, addressing poor behaviors when necessary.
  • Manage the receipt, production, and dispatch of materials in line with business processes and requirements.
  • Work with the operational leadership team and HR to define management responsibilities regarding Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Collaborate with the Quality, Compliance, and Technical teams to ensure that Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) are raised for non-compliances and that corrective actions are implemented.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to support the client's purpose and mission.
  • Engage, empower, and motivate the team through effective management tools and clear communication.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to ensure consistent support and guidance.
  • Participate in workplace investigations and disciplinary processes when necessary.
  • Carry out annual performance reviews in line with the client's performance review process.
  • Achieve team KPIs aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to the production manager on team performance against set KPIs.
  • Drive a high-performing, values-based culture within the team.
  • Attend regular management meetings, providing updates and feedback on team and functional performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading and being accountable for a multi-skilled team.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training strategies that enhance overall team performance.
  • Experience in driving a team to achieve production schedules while adhering to strict quality control standards.
