About the Role:

Schroders Recruitment is seeking a skilled Compensation Accounting Specialist to join our team in ensuring the integrity of payroll data is maintained within our internal systems through our monthly reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Validate and Reconcile Payroll Data: Monitor and reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions in the general ledger.
  2. Payroll Data Validation: Validate and reconcile payroll data, including salaries, wages, bonuses, benefits, and deductions, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Payroll Tax Calculations: Reconcile payroll tax calculations, including Income Tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions, against the payroll system.
  4. Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll data, including incorrect pay or benefits allocations.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify and implement ways in which the numerous processes can be streamlined to minimize manual intervention.
  6. Confidentiality and Data Privacy: Maintain confidentiality and data privacy in handling sensitive payroll information.

Requirements:

  1. Finance or Reconciliations Experience: Experience working in a Finance or reconciliations function.
  2. Excel Knowledge: Strong Excel knowledge is a requirement.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Oracle Fusion / SDWorx Experience: Experience of Oracle Fusion / SDWorx.
  2. Financial Services Experience: Experience of Financial Services.
  3. Data Handling: Able to work with a vast amount of data.
