Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Commis Chef to join our team at Resorts World Birmingham. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that our high standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food to a high standard, adhering to health and safety guidelines and kitchen protocols.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and tidy, and that equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Assist in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies, and ensure that all stock is properly stored and rotated.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards colleagues and customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge, and to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
