Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Novotel Birmingham Airport. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team to provide smooth running services and a high standard of production.
  • Work autonomously to produce dishes in compliance with cooking instructions and maintain a thorough knowledge of the F&B offers provided in the kitchen.
  • Supervise the commis chefs' work and organize the work carried out by commis chefs and apprentices in the area under your responsibility.
  • Inform the team about cost optimization and the reduction of raw material wastage and track implementation.
  • Train commis chefs, apprentices, and interns to a high standard.
  • Conduct inventories and manage stocks of equipment to avoid breakages.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12-24 months experience in a supervisory role.
  • Vocational certificate or diploma in professional cuisine.
  • Salary £26,769 per annum.
  • Experience that demonstrates well-established technical know-how.
