About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at Genting Casinos. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our food preparation areas, assisting in food production, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any faults to the Kitchen Chef.
  • Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations and ensure that all food is stored and handled safely.
  • Assist in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies, and ensure that all stock is properly stored and rotated.
  • Work closely with the Kitchen Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and improve existing dishes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all customers receive a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Work flexibly and be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Commis Chef or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
