Consultant Endoscopist Opportunity

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Endoscopist to join the Digestive Diseases Centre within the Surgery, Anaesthesia & Critical Care Clinical Care Group.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide flexible cover for the endoscopy service in Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital
  • Contribute to the development of a Centre of Excellence in North East London
  • Work with clinical teams in Gastroenterology, Colorectal and Upper GI Surgery
Requirements
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • CCT in Gastroenterology/ attainment of CCT via 'European Community Rights'
  • Full registration with GMC

The successful applicant will join a busy, dynamic multidisciplinary team to help improve the service provided to the population. The Trust has a strong commitment to developing JAG training courses, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to this initiative.

The Trust operates from two main sites, King George Hospital and Queen's Hospital, and has a diverse workforce with staff from 146 different countries. The majority of staff are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, and the Trust is proud to be a London Living Wage employer.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, with two new theatres at King George Hospital and Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub.
