Position: Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP)
Service: Out of Hours
Compensation: £48 - £58 per hour
Shift Patterns: Primarily weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts, with some weekdays included.
Role Overview:
The Out of Hours Clinician will deliver high-quality care for minor injuries and illnesses to patients visiting the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). This role requires independent and autonomous practice, supported by a collaborative team of Nurses and General Practitioners.
Leadership Responsibilities:
As an experienced practitioner, you may be responsible for guiding and supervising band six and student Emergency Nurse Practitioners, contributing to their professional development and management.
Candidate Requirements:
Successful candidates will possess exceptional communication abilities, demonstrate effective self-management, and exhibit proficiency as an experienced ENP in the field of minor injury and illness management.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Adastra is essential, as completion of Adastra training will be required prior to commencement.
Driving Requirements:
If you are willing to undertake mobile shifts, a valid driver's license will be necessary for insurance purposes to operate service vehicles.
Patient Consultation:
You should be capable of consulting with patients across all age groups, including pediatric cases.
Documentation Needed:
Interested candidates must provide the following documentation: CV, V300 Prescriber evidence, Minor Injury Level 7 certification, Minor Illness Level 7 certification, DBS check, identification, immunization records, and up-to-date mandatory training.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous: X-Ray competencies, suturing, palliative care, and catheterization skills/certificates for both male and female patients.
