ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Lead Automation Systems Engineer in Operational Technology, your primary responsibility will be to provide automation expertise for daily operational support.

The main objectives of this position include:

  • Assessing communication protocols and defining our strategic approach while ensuring our IT architectures are aligned and operational data streams are consolidated to support our enterprise SCADA.
  • Documenting all OT communication and network protocols and identifying more efficient operational methods.
  • Acting as the technical lead and liaison with IT network and infrastructure teams to optimize IT/OT interfaces.
  • Ensuring that OT communication and IT interfaces are optimized for the eSCADA upgrade, enhancing operational resilience.
  • Consolidating data streams to our eSCADA platform to implement a unified alarm engine strategy for Network Control.
  • Evaluating, developing business cases, and implementing innovative communication methods to address our AMP ODI challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To excel in this role, candidates should possess experience with Ovarro SCOPEx and familiarity with Schneider telemetry outstations. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities are essential.

An understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.
