ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Lead Automation Systems Engineer in Operational Technology, your primary responsibility will be to provide automation expertise for daily operational support.
The key objectives of this position include:
- Assessing communication protocols and defining strategies that align with our IT architectures while optimizing our operational data streams for enterprise SCADA integration.
- Documenting and refining all OT communication and network protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
- Acting as the technical lead and liaison with IT network and infrastructure teams to ensure optimized IT/OT interfaces.
- Ensuring that OT communication and IT interfaces are effectively upgraded for operational resilience.
- Consolidating data streams into our eSCADA platform to implement a unified alarm engine strategy for Network Control.
- Evaluating and implementing innovative communication methods to support our operational challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess experience with Ovarro SCOPEx and Schneider telemetry outstations, along with strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
An understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.
