About the Position:
DP World is expanding and establishing a new state-of-the-art warehouse facility. We are seeking a proficient Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of our team, focusing on the upkeep of our automated warehouse machinery, including AMR, ASRS, and sorting systems. This position presents an excellent opportunity to engage with advanced technology and offers significant potential for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks within the designated timeframe and to a high standard.
- Perform repairs and maintenance activities with a focus on achieving first-time fixes.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on a shift basis to ensure all PPM schedules and any outstanding tasks are completed promptly.
- Identify and resolve faults, continuously monitoring performance.
- Execute manufacturing and production line tasks as required, documenting and reporting activities in relevant systems.
- Be accountable for the operational performance of automated warehouse systems, including AMR, ASRS, and sorters.
- Work closely with engineering management, launch, and operational teams during the development of new solutions.
- Assist in presenting technical enhancements to clients through proposals and presentations in collaboration with account management.
- Support and lead the implementation of engineering solutions during project launches, including master data creation, process validation, and contractor management.
- Conduct new MTM / MOST process assessments or update existing processes as necessary.
- Act as a liaison between regional functions and other business areas as needed.
- Ensure alignment between the engineering function and operations team, along with other support departments.
- Translate high-level operational objectives into detailed solution proposals and oversee their deployment in live operations.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in Maintenance Engineering (both Electrical and Mechanical) within manufacturing, distribution, or related sectors.
- Experience with relevant equipment such as conveyors.
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to understand and advocate for client needs within the engineering function.
- Competence in data interpretation and analysis.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and Project Management software.
