Forensic Reporting Officer Role Overview

SOCOTEC UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Reporting Officer to join our Forensics Science Division. As a Forensic Reporting Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our testing and analysis services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and analyze results, producing high-quality reports to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to laboratory staff on forensic analysis and reporting procedures.
  • Examine exhibits, prepare samples, and conduct non-routine work while maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of forensic analysis techniques, including identification of unknown compounds and classification of new compounds related to drugs and illegal substances.
  • Attend court proceedings as required, providing expert testimony and supporting the legal process.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems, including UKAS (ISO17025) and forensics regulators' code requirements.
  • Project a professional image and support the company culture and codes of practice at all times.
