About the Role

We are seeking an experienced mental health clinician to join our Mandatory and Essential Skills Training team as a Clinical Skills Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive competency-based training programs for multi-disciplinary staff in a specialist mental health context.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead on the provision of comprehensive competency-based training programs for multi-disciplinary staff in a specialist mental health context.
  • Design and deliver mandatory training relating to sexual safety and therapeutic observations.
  • Ensure the review and update of existing training programs to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the services.
  • Lead on the implementation of national and organisational clinical competencies.
  • Maintain an overview of the use of technology-enhanced learning tools in relevant training programs.
  • Ensure the organisation of training venues and logistics to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery.
  • Lead the ongoing development and management of quality assurance of training for essential clinical skills in a specialist mental health context.
  • Ensure the availability of specialist learning and development advice, support, and consultation to the Trust.
  • Prepare training activity reports and presentations for strategic management groups and stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain an overview of current system-wide service delivery, workforce needs, and training provision.
  • Represent the Trust in local and national network events to maintain and develop expert-level knowledge in this specialty.
