Sales and Dispatch Assistant Opportunity

An exciting role has arisen for a Sales and Dispatch Assistant in a full-time permanent position for a specialist manufacturing company located in the UK. The company's expertise is in humidity control and moisture protection systems.

The Offer

37.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 17.00pm, Friday 8:00am to 12:30pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break. Work can also start at 7:00am through 16:00, Monday to Thursday, and 7:00 to 11:30 on Fridays.

Starting salary: up to £25,000 depending on experience. This is an entry-level position.

Year-end bonus after a year's service

22 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Company pension (5% employee & 3% employer)

On-site parking

The Role

Daily picking of orders

Preparing dispatch paperwork

Monitoring online orders and correspondence

Booking couriers / arranging with clients for collections

Monitoring emails and progress of orders

Completing weekly progress reports for unfilled orders

Becoming conversant with Government reporting systems (Intrastat)

Delivering daily post internally

Updating digital records of all documents scans

Assisting with sales order processing

The Person

  • Willingness to learn; the client doesn't want anyone who aims to run the company in two months; they need to serve their time
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Computer skills / Microsoft Office
  • Eager and honest, happy to ask for more work or assist the team
