Associate - Mid-Market Private Equity Generalist

We are currently working with a leading mid-market private equity firm, who after completing their most recent fundraise, are now looking to add an Associate to its London team.
The firm, which has a strong track record over a number of decades in investing across the lower to mid-market space and can offer the opportunity to join a dynamic team, with multi-region coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source investment opportunities in the lower to mid-market space.
- Develop relationships with investment banks, brokers, financial sponsors, and industry professionals.
- Lead in-depth financial analysis, modelling, and valuation of potential investments.
- Oversee and coordinate due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and market assessments.
- Prepare and present detailed investment memos and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Manage all aspects of deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience within private equity, venture capital or in mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven track record of successful deal origination, execution, and portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of credit markets, debt instruments, and investment structures.
- Exceptional financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of credit agreements, legal documentation, and negotiation processes.
