Senior Sales Consultant for HVAC Solutions

Job Title: Senior Sales Consultant for HVAC Solutions

Industry Sector: HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical, Building Services, Equipment Rental, Climate Control Solutions, Thermal Management, and Related Services
Geographical Coverage: South West & South Wales

Compensation: £40,000-£50,000 + £15,000 Commission + £5,000 Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Vehicle & Comprehensive Benefits Package

Role Summary:

This is a field-based sales position focused on promoting and selling a range of HVAC rental solutions including chillers, boilers, portable air conditioning units, air handling systems, heating equipment, heat exchangers, buffer tanks, and pumps. The role involves:

  • Engaging with industrial end users (50% of the role)
  • Collaborating with trade contractors such as M&E contractors, facilities management firms, plumbing and heating specialists, refrigeration experts, and air conditioning service providers (50% of the role)

Sales Objectives: The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the sales territory from £500,000 to a target of £750,000-£1 million. This role will primarily focus on new business development while also managing a substantial number of incoming inquiries.

Typical Order Values: £10,000-£20,000

Project Timelines: Emergency projects may require a turnaround of 24-48 hours, while planned projects can extend up to 6 months.

Client Development: The role includes the opportunity to cultivate relationships with a select group of national contractors who are not currently utilizing our client's offerings in this region.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in field sales within the rental industry, preferably in HVAC
  • A background in engineering with a willingness to transition into a sales role, particularly if experienced in chillers or boilers
  • A proactive and ambitious attitude
  • Familiarity with products such as chillers, boilers, portable air conditioning units, air handling systems, heating equipment, heat exchangers, buffer tanks, and pumps
  • Experience selling to contractors, including M&E contractors, facilities management firms, plumbing and heating specialists, refrigeration experts, and air conditioning service providers
  • A dynamic personality that thrives in a flexible and enjoyable work environment
