Key Responsibilities of the Wine Lounge Supervisor
- Manage the organization and rotation of wine stock, ensuring optimal conditions for preservation and service.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the beverage inventory, including regular updates to the '86' board.
- Offer tailored recommendations to guests regarding wine selections, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Promote and sell wine, wine tasting events, and related products.
- Enhance beverage sales through effective upselling and guest engagement.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and refine wine pairings for seasonal menus and special occasions.
- Participate in ongoing wine tastings and educational sessions to deepen wine knowledge.
- Stay informed about industry trends and new wine releases to continuously enhance the wine program.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities and flexibility, capable of fulfilling the roles of both Lounge Supervisor and Sommelier. Previous experience in a similar capacity within a fine dining environment or luxury hotel is highly desirable. A WSET Level 2 or 3 certification is a plus.
