About the Role

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is seeking a Support Grade Band 2 to provide administrative support to the Justiciary and jurors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between Depute Clerks of Justiciary and jurors
  • Administer jurors, providing them with necessary forms and assisting with DEPS enquiries
  • Conduct daily check-ins with sitting jurors
  • Set up the Jury room with refreshments, paper, and pens
  • Lead jurors to and from Court to Jury Room, ensuring their attendance is secure
  • Setup stationery/document folders for new jurors
  • Secure jury folders at the end of each sitting day
  • Accompany jurors to smoking areas during breaks and lunch hours
  • Ensure jurors are shown out of the building when Court concludes
  • Assist in setting up screens/cameras for Vulnerable Witnesses as required
  • Retrieve and return case papers from the Justiciary Office as needed
  • Receive, sort, and distribute external mail
  • Provide internal mail services by collecting and delivering mail from designated points
  • Perform reception duties, dealing with customers, solicitors, witnesses, jurors, and parties
  • Operate the main Reception switchboard, transferring calls, and handling general enquiries
  • Deliver papers to Court/Chambers as required

Essential Skills:

  • Customer-focused, team-oriented, and eager to develop new skills
