About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our team at Jet2. As a key member of our data delivery team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex data and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of data and analytics solutions, including data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
  • Manage a team of data and analytics engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with solution and data architects to design and implement data warehouse solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, using tools such as dbt and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Drive a data-first culture within the team and across the business, promoting data literacy and enabling data-driven decision making.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of data and analytics engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
