This position is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 12 months, with a shift pattern that includes Monday through Sunday.

The Assisted Conception Service (ACS) at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is in search of a motivated Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to fulfill a 12-month fixed-term role. Our facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology and offer a comprehensive range of clinical techniques, ensuring a high standard of care tailored to meet individual patient requirements. The ACS is responsible for approximately 1100 cycles of IVF/ICSI, 600 frozen-thawed embryo transfers, and 300 intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) utilizing both partner and donor sperm. Experience in fertility or gynecology, along with proficiency in IT skills, is highly desirable.

As of April 1, 2024, NHS Scotland will be reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, with no change in salary. This adjustment will also apply on a pro-rata basis for part-time staff. However, please note that not all service areas may be able to implement the 37-hour workweek immediately, and you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you will be compensated until your service area adjusts its rosters or working patterns.
