Position Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to become a vital member of our dedicated team within the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit, part of our innovative Emergency Village. This specialized environment is designed to minimize unnecessary hospital admissions and alleviate the demands on our bustling Emergency Department. We seek a motivated and positive individual to uphold exceptional standards of care in our fast-paced SDEC setting.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of patients across medical, surgical, gynecological, urological, ophthalmological, and ENT disciplines, focusing on same-day treatment and discharge. Our goal is to ensure patients receive timely diagnoses, effective treatments, and appropriate follow-ups, all within the same day.

As a Clinical Support Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass assisting in the triage process, which includes performing essential observations, conducting risk assessments, creating full body maps, collecting samples, IV cannulation, blood sampling, patient transfers, and executing 12 Lead ECG recordings. You will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to patients visiting our unit.

We highly recommend that all personnel in patient-facing roles or those working in areas where patients receive care are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing venepuncture
  • Conducting cannulation
  • Executing ECG recordings
  • Carrying out baseline observations
  • Collecting urine samples
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Facilitating patient transfers
  • Monitoring patient conditions
  • Assisting with catheterization
  • Conducting VBG testing
  • Monitoring blood sugar levels
  • Ensuring stocking and cleanliness of the unit

Qualifications and Experience
