Clinical Psychologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Blackpool CMHT Psychology team as a B8a Clinical Psychologist for a fixed-term position.
This role is part of a waiting list initiative to support our existing B8b and B8a Clinical Psychologists with their waiting lists. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team who work effectively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT), and seeing a diverse range of clinical presentations.
This is a great opportunity to develop therapeutic skills in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Compassion Focussed Therapy. Clinical Supervision can be provided in each of these modalities. Our team is supported clinically and professionally by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who works across Adult Mental Health and Access services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients across a range of care settings.
- Offer advice and consultation on patients' psychological care to psychology and non-psychology colleagues.
- Utilize research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research within the area in which the postholder works.

Person Specification- Education/Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Knowledge:
- Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex, multivariate data analysis.
- HCPC registration as practitioner psychologist.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to the patient group.
- Experience:
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients across a range of care settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups, across the whole life course.
