Assistant Psychologist, General Paediatric Psychology Service

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to be part of The General Paediatric Psychology Service (GPPS), providing psychological interventions to children and young people with medical conditions, and to their families.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Psychologist will support Clinical Psychologists working within GPPS, delivering psychological interventions to children, young people, and families through the team's workshop programme and individually. They will also develop resources for the team and wider MDT, and help assess the effectiveness of the service offered.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a good psychology degree
- Knowledge of psychological and mental health issues for children and young people in paediatric or surgical settings
- Experience of working with children and families, and as an Assistant Psychologist or similar role
The Assistant Psychologist will be part of a friendly and supportive network of psychologists working with babies, children, and families. The role offers opportunities for professional development and training, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
