Position Overview

The Global Search Company is a prominent player in the food distribution sector, committed to delivering top-notch food products to a wide array of clients. We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Supply Chain Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team, focusing on enhancing our warehouse functionalities.

In the role of Supply Chain Operations Manager, you will take charge of supervising and directing the comprehensive logistics and distribution processes within the warehouse. This encompasses the effective management of product receipt, storage, and shipment. Your objective will be to guarantee that products reach their designated locations punctually, adhering to the required quality standards, and at the most economical rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Oversight: Manage the daily functions of the warehouse, including stock control, order fulfillment, and product dispatch.
  • Team Development: Inspire, guide, and cultivate a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring high motivation and productivity levels.
  • Logistics Planning: Strategize and coordinate transportation schedules, delivery routes, and distribution plans to facilitate timely and effective deliveries.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent standards of food safety, quality, and cleanliness within the warehouse, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations.
  • Cost Efficiency: Track and manage operational expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.
  • Inventory Oversight: Supervise inventory levels, perform regular stock assessments, and maintain precise record-keeping.
  • Supplier Relations: Engage with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze logistics and operational data to uncover trends, make informed decisions, and report on essential performance metrics.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted safely, in line with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics management, ideally within the food distribution or FMCG industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse management and logistics software applications.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
