Role Overview

As a Senior Supply Chain Operations Specialist , your primary duties will include:

  • Overseeing and ensuring the operational readiness of the Aftermarket Parts Supply Chain for Lithium-Ion batteries.
  • This entails comprehending the future supply chain and business strategy for Electric Vehicles (EV) and executing this critical workstream as part of a broader cross-functional initiative.
  • Guaranteeing timely implementation of logistics operations processes and collaborating with the Operational Systems team to ensure Warehouse Management System (WMS) readiness.
  • Coordinating with various cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive end-to-end supply chain solution.
  • Collaborating with inbound supply and freight teams to establish effective inbound and outbound material flows.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven background in Supply Chain Management with demonstrated experience in logistics operations setup and execution.
  • Ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively across various functions and partners.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with experience in working within cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, and a commitment to driving tasks forward while taking full ownership of projects and challenges.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Prince 2, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions while considering multiple factors.
  • Proficient negotiation skills and adaptability.
  • Capability to present findings, make recommendations, and defend positions based on quantitative and qualitative data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the selection and design of warehouse locations align with business standards and legal requirements.
  • Secure investment budgets and complete fit-out preparations to receive products.
  • Achieve stock readiness for initial outbound dispatch in accordance with vehicle program timelines.
  • Meet critical project and vehicle program milestones and deliverables.
  • Deliver solutions that align with customer journey expectations and project governance methodologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Understanding of vehicle technologies, particularly in Electric Vehicles and Lithium-Ion systems.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to grasp the business functions supported by this role.
  • Experience within the automotive sector, especially in parts supply chain management.
