About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Avove. As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering the civil design content of water industry projects as part of a multi-disciplinary design team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects/packages of work, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and specifications.
  • Design Development: Develop designs in accordance with client requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise junior design team members to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Feasibility Studies: Prepare and check feasibility studies, appraisal/assessment reports, and other written documents.
  • Engineering Solutions: Develop engineering solutions and present engineering options to stakeholders.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety in design development is at the forefront of our work and comply with the requirements of the company's Integrated Management System.
  • Design Documentation: Produce and check design concepts, calculations, design details, drawing specifications, and other technical documents.
About You
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in the design of Water/Wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure works.
  • Qualifications: Degree in a relevant qualification and holder of/progressing towards professional accreditation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication and organisational skills to produce reports in clear concise English.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines.
