About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Principal Civil Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to various projects across multiple offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor graduate engineers and engineering technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Produce detailed drainage and highway calculations, sketches, and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure designs meet the required standards, including CIRIA, BRE Digest, BS EN 752, and adoptable standards (Sections 278, 38, and 104).
- Perform site visits to verify construction against drawings and ensure that the work is completed to the required standard.
- Prepare specifications, costings, budgets, and quotations to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide commercial awareness and ensure that quality deliverables are achieved.
- Support Directors in operational efficiency and service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and expand client relationships to ensure that the company continues to grow and thrive.
Requirements:
- Experience in Highways and Drainage design, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, or equivalent design software.
- Chartered status with CIWEM, ICE, or CIHT.
- Strong communication and consultation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Experience with adoptable standards and report writing.
