About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Moira as a Project Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding graduate engineers and engineering technicians, while supporting the current workload and helping develop the skills of your team to meet client demands and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects and clients, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Support the Directors in achieving excellence across the group, driving business growth and development
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address project risks, opportunities, and challenges
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Highways and Drainage design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Causeway Flow or equivalent design software
  • Skilled in producing detailed drainage and highway calculations and sketches
  • Familiarity with CIRIA design guides, BRE digest, BS EN752, and Design and Construction Guidance
  • Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations
  • Strong report writing abilities
  • Site visit experience to ensure construction aligns with drawings
  • Project management and leadership skills
