Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in serving food and beverages across the hotel's outlets, ensuring compliance with company standards and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the outlet to promptly address customer inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Promote and suggest additional products to enhance guest experience.
  • Execute all cash handling, charge, float, and till procedures in line with company policies.
  • Support the efficient operation of the Food & Beverage department and contribute positively to departmental goals.
  • Complete all reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
  • Ensure the bar is closed down to a high standard at the end of each shift.
  • Oversee cellar management in collaboration with management to uphold cleanliness standards.

Required Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with hotel branding.
  • Understanding of hotel values and the ability to exemplify them.
  • Knowledge of hotel offerings and the capability to promote and upsell.
  • Comprehension of hotel cash handling procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixology.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts is essential.

  • Positive contributions to departmental and hotel objectives.
  • Effectiveness in upselling initiatives.
  • Participation in training sessions and a commitment to skill development.

Qualifications and Attributes:

Essential:

  • Outstanding verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to acquire multiple skills across the Food & Beverage department.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience as a Barista.
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality settings.
  • Skills in handling customer complaints.
  • Qualifications in Hospitality, Travel, or Tourism.
  • Experience with Micros or similar systems.
  • Experience in cash handling.
  • Knowledge of mixology.
  • Experience in cellar management.
