Head of Commercial Services

Lancaster University Students' Union is seeking a highly effective Head of Commercial Services to join our staff team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a proactive role in overseeing core services areas, including SU Central Supermarket, SU Living, the Sugarhouse (nightclub), events, and commercial marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a committed team to drive forward the commercial activities of the Students' Union.
  • Develop and implement a sector-leading commercial strategy that engages customers and shows consistent growth.
  • Build rapport with students, achieve sales growth, and turn this into profit and reserves for the Students' Union.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to create a community of students who want to use and be part of the commercial services.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of leading teams and developing a range of commercial services.
  • A visionary leader who can build a can-do culture and take their people with them.
  • A people person who will develop a culture of empowerment and innovation.
  • Able to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair and a passion for driving business growth.
