Position: Senior Product Manager | Fresh Produce

Salary: £40-50k

Role Overview:

In the capacity of Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, integrity, and compliance of products throughout the facility. This role focuses on maximizing product returns and executing strategic quality enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage quality assurance processes in production and distribution, overseeing shelf life assessments and benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technical, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Sourcing) to fulfill customer quality expectations and stakeholder requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the Quality Review Committee (QRC) team, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Support testing protocols for microbiological and pesticide residues, ensuring adherence to safety and legal standards, while implementing the Safety Management System.
  • Develop and manage training programs for the Quality, Ripening, and Production teams, promoting effective skill enhancement.
  • Analyze quality performance metrics, identify trends, and formulate improvement strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a quality role within the Fresh Produce industry, preferably as a Senior Product Manager, with a strong focus on quality management, customer orientation, analytical skills, and team leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with familiarity in Microsoft D365 being advantageous.
  • Ability to make prompt decisions, handle multiple projects, and work autonomously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for data interpretation and trend analysis.
  • Proven capability to lead and collaborate effectively with teams across various management levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy.
