Role Overview:
In the capacity of Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to uphold product safety, quality, integrity, and compliance across the facility. This role focuses on optimizing product returns and executing strategic quality enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quality assurance processes in production and distribution, while overseeing shelf life and benchmarking activities.
- Collaborate closely with various departments (Technical, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Sourcing) to align with customer quality expectations and stakeholder demands.
- Lead and mentor the Quality Review Committee (QRC) team, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Support testing protocols for microbiological and pesticide residues, ensuring adherence to safety and legal standards, while implementing the Safety Management System.
- Develop and manage training programs for the Quality, Ripening, and Production teams, fostering effective skill enhancement.
- Analyze quality performance metrics, identify trends, and formulate improvement strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years in a quality role within the Fresh Produce sector, preferably as a Senior Product Manager, with a strong emphasis on quality management, customer orientation, analytical skills, and team leadership.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with a preference for experience in Microsoft D365.
- Ability to make prompt decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work autonomously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on data analysis and trend identification.
- Proven capability to lead and collaborate effectively with teams across various management levels.
- Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle high-pressure situations, and maintain accuracy in all work.
