We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our team at MorePeople. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our fresh produce products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality functions in production and dispatch, and manage shelf life and benchmarking processes.
  • Work closely with various teams (Technical, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Sourcing) to understand and meet customer quality performance and stakeholder requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor the Quality and Compliance team, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Support microbiological and pesticide residue testing regimes, ensure safety and legal compliance, and implement the Safety Management System.
  • Manage training plans for the Quality, ripening and Production teams, ensuring effective skill development.
  • Capture quality performance data, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in a Fresh Produce quality function, ideally as a Senior Product Manager.
  • Strong background in quality management within the fresh produce industry.
  • Customer-focused, analytical, and capable of leading a team while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ideally Microsoft D365.
  • Ability to make urgent decisions, manage multiple projects, and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, data interpretation, and trend analysis.
  • Capable of leading and working effectively with teams across different levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage high-stress situations, and ensure accuracy in work.
