About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who have faced challenges in mainstream education. You will work closely with teachers to deliver lessons and provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Lead small group activities to help students stay on task and complete assigned activities
  • Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and support testing/assessments
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with the teaching team
  • Provide feedback and encouragement to students to boost their confidence and self-belief

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (minimum requirement)
  • Experience working with SEN students, including those with EHCPs
  • Effective behaviour management skills and a strong determination to raise achievement levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
