Job Title: Adult Social Care Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Social Care Solicitor to join our team at AMADA Senior Care Mesa. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and representation to vulnerable adults in our community.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of Adult Social Care files, providing legal advice to our team and ensuring the rights and wellbeing of vulnerable adults are protected.
  • Handle complex Court of Protection proceedings, safeguarding the interests of adults who lack mental capacity and require support.
  • Advise on service availability under the Care Act 2014, ensuring that vulnerable adults receive the necessary care and support.
  • Review and challenge local authority decisions to refuse care and support, ensuring that vulnerable adults receive the support they need.
  • Provide guidance on funding care and support for individuals who do not meet the means test for local authority-funded care.
  • Represent the client department at case-related meetings and conduct advocacy in court as needed.
  • Adhere to quality standards and maintain professional standards in all aspects of your work.
  • Handle confidential data with sensitivity and security, in accordance with our policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Strong legal knowledge in adult social care and mental health law.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and provide general legal advice.
  • Interest in public sector work and a commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the community.
