Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Customer Service Organisation (CSO) as a Field Service Application Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing solutions for the full portfolio of Agilent ICP products, addressing the customer's analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out end-to-end application-based consulting during customer on-boarding process
  2. Provide extended training beyond familiarization, including method transfer, method maintenance, development, and optimization
  3. Work closely with our instrument Sales team, Pre-Sales Application Engineers, and Product Specialists to understand customer expectations and transition pre-sales development to customer instrumentation successfully
Ongoing Support of Installed Systems
  1. Support our ICP customers to ensure they increase their return on investment, either as part of a support agreement, ad hoc request, or customer satisfaction
  2. Involved in instrument application problems and/or critical issues using sophisticated product and application knowledge to ensure desired outcomes
  3. Support CSO FSEs onsite or remotely, and work with Channel assist, Application Engineers, Product Specialists, and Regional Specialists for improved speed to resolution, cost reduction, and professionally tier handling of applications problems
  4. Carry out application-based consulting to help our customers
  5. Provide sophisticated training to customers as needed
Agilent Team
  1. Develop applications/workflow capabilities through mentoring onsite, remote, and face-to-face workshops
  2. Increase contact centre application troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
  1. A university degree in sciences (e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar), or equivalent working experience
  2. Proficient experience with Agilent ICP-MS and ICP-OES hardware and software, typically 5+ years
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest, innovative, ICP/MS technology solutions with a deep understanding of workflow and applications
  4. Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
  5. Happy to regularly travel throughout the UK and Ireland (average 3 overnight stays per week), and occasionally across borders

This job has a full-time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
