Key Responsibilities:
Manage Client Relationships:
- Develop strategic account plans to enhance supplier partnerships.
- Identify consultancy opportunities within key accounts by:
- Taking primary responsibility for insights relationships with strategic clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Framing client challenges and proposing actionable next steps by collaborating with internal teams.
- Building a robust project pipeline and identifying insight gaps across client accounts.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and their market categories.
- Monitoring the broader market environment and its implications for Sainsbury's and its suppliers.
- Maintain regular communication and engagement with clients.
- Prepare proposals and budget estimates for strategic clients.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and knowledge-sharing sessions to mentor junior team members.
- Oversee the financial performance of the Data & Insights Consultancy, including:
- Budget management for consultancy, market research, and new data initiatives.
- Collaborating with the commercial team to develop and implement consultancy strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Directing the senior contact strategy for key clients.
- Understand and adapt to Sainsbury's supplier tiering to tailor solutions effectively.
- Recognize the role of trading insights and central functions.
- Ensure consistent engagement with internal stakeholders.
- Take charge of delivering assigned insight consultancy projects.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of best practices in consultancy and a strong ability to convey narratives through data.
- Independently manage end-to-end project delivery, including:
- Leading client interactions alongside colleagues from other departments.
- Coordinating and supporting analysts and market research teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Utilizing established processes and documentation to ensure clarity among all parties involved.
- Collaborate with Media Planning and Commercial teams to enhance client value through insights.
- Build effective relationships with key decision-makers across the organization.
- Work closely with Media Planning and Commercial functions to ensure that all opportunities are communicated effectively.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven skills in consultative selling and negotiation.
- Strong capability to derive insights and narrate stories using data.
- Experience in consumer insights, analytics, market research, or marketing, preferably within Retail or FMCG sectors.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with clients.
- Familiarity with insight practices and customer data tools.
- A passion for data and customer-centric approaches.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Exceptional project management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Self-driven with a solid understanding of analytics and solution development.
- High energy, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
- Understanding of financial management principles.
