Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at MAN Commercial Protection. As a key member of our Head Office team, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of payroll data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process multiple monthly payrolls for 1500 employees, including starter, leaver, amendments, absence, overtime, statutory payments, and pensions.
  • Resolve discrepancies and queries related to payroll and escalate as necessary.
  • Support the monthly financial accounting requirements of the business, including report generation, payroll journals, reconciliations, and other financial tasks.
  • Manage the Company Pension Schemes, with a focus on NEST experience.
  • Raise monthly and ad-hoc payroll-related payments.
  • Recover monthly adjustments and deductions.
  • Process company cars and P11Ds, and handle associated queries.
  • Complete all company and year-end payroll processes.
  • Support Payroll/HR projects as required.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job title, and department/division transfers.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Manage sickness processes and related payments.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Sage Payroll 50 and knowledge of pensions schemes and auto-enrolment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Confidence in meeting monthly payroll targets.
  • Comfortable working closely with Senior Management.
