About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant General Manager to join our team at New Forest Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of staff to achieve exceptional customer service and sales targets.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience, exceeding their expectations at every touchpoint.
    • Monitor and address any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Business Development
    • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability through targeted marketing initiatives and promotions.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the management of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
    • Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement effective training programs to address any gaps.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
