About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiotherapy Physics Technologist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Physics Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine tests on equipment in the department, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Ensure quality control records and local procedures are up-to-date, maintaining accurate and reliable data.
  • Collaborate with clinical scientists and engineers to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or HND in a physical or biological science.
  • Practical experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of medical physics principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Manual and mental dexterity to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritize tasks, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
