We are committed to delivering exceptional services and solutions to our customers, and we are seeking a talented individual to join our UK Finance Team in Portlethen, Aberdeen.

Job Summary

This role has been created to support and work closely with our current Statutory Accountant, and will be responsible for preparing management accounts for Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa Regions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with local regulations.
  • Ensure timely filing of TAX Returns, VAT, and other statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.
  • Review internal controls and provide recommendations on weaknesses noted.
  • Support and handle AP/AR queries, liaising with the transactional-based team in India.
  • Provide accurate and timely presentation of financial statements, including balance sheet notes.
  • Perform review and analysis of financial statements with business segment owners.
Requirements
  • Recognized accounting qualification or actively studying towards qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good project and people management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Oracle and FMS systems experience (desirable).
