Job Title: English Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Lead to join our team at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council. As an English Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating all activities that take place on our borough's public highways, including managing utility and highway works, special events, and highway licensing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement bespoke initiatives to coordinate works and ensure programs of work are assessed and monitored thoroughly.
- Lead on initiatives involving TfL, such as the Bus Sense Corridor work, coordination of the Thames Bridges Crossings, and other pan-London coordination initiatives.
- Chair quarterly coordination meetings with stakeholders, ensuring residents and businesses are provided with the information they need to make informed choices on their journeys.
- Provide regular updates on works and incidents that might affect the road network.
Requirements:
- City and Guilds New Roads and Street Works Act qualification levels 1-9.
- HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
- Extensive experience of applying current legislation and codes of practice.
- In-depth knowledge of network management theory, practice, and procedures.
- Ability to manage budgets in line with the Council's financial management practices and policies.
