About the Community Safety Coordinator Role
The Community Safety Coordinator is a key member of the Community Safety Team, responsible for coordinating the work of the team and supporting the administration of multi-agency meetings.
The post holder will have primary responsibility for coordinating responses to enquiries from internal and external partners, elected members, and the general public.
They will also be responsible for coordinating and minuting operational and strategic level meetings and boards, as well as providing general administrative/business support functions to the team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of leading on a range of administrative/business support functions within a multi-agency setting.
They will need to be well organised, able to use their own initiative, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals, from senior leaders to members of the public.

The Community Safety Team, also known as Safer Sutton Partnership, is a small team co-located at Sutton Police Station and the Civic Offices.
The team is part of the Targeted Early Help & Integrated Support Service within Sutton Children's Services- People Directorate.
The team works closely with the Metropolitan Police and a range of partners and organisations to improve safety for residents and visitors within the London Borough of Sutton.
