Role Overview:
As a Branded Merchandise Coordinator, you will leverage strategic insights to collaborate with our Buying team in developing product assortments.

Your contributions will be vital in shaping both immediate and long-term strategies that drive our business success.

Client Insights:
This position offers a fantastic opportunity within a prominent multi-channel retailer, currently expanding its merchandising team due to growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning (35%):
    Collaborate with the Buyer to review past seasons and extract valuable lessons. Formulate departmental strategies and present them effectively. Approve grading proposals from trading Merchandisers to inform assortment planning. Conduct annual reviews of the SMT plan at the Buyer Group/Season level and apply it at the Category/Season level to align with overall objectives. Develop quarterly plans at the Category/Season level with the Buyer, ensuring the optimal product mix to achieve KPIs. Participate in selection meetings with Buyers and suppliers, and coordinate pre-scheduling to align with the range plan.
  • Stock Management (5%):
    Oversee buying ratios in collaboration with Assistant Merchandisers, ensuring alignment with planned purchases and managing intake at both category and line levels.
  • Trade Analysis (50%):
    Monitor weekly trading performance against KPIs, identifying issues and proposing corrective actions in preparation for weekly trading discussions. Document agreed actions during monthly forecast reviews and develop forecasts from the category/season level to the Buyer Group.
Approval Processes:
Engage in forecasting sales variances, create Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans, and manage commitments including timely deliveries, rebuys, and markdown strategies. Provide merchandising support to retail through Store Allocators and adapt the range plan in-season to reflect any necessary changes.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across various functions, including Online, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Distribution Centers.

Candidates should possess the ability to make swift decisions in a dynamic setting, alongside strong commercial acumen and brand awareness. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a keen desire to learn are crucial. Organizational skills, methodical approaches, and proficiency in Excel are also required. Job Offer:
